Our Staff
All staff of living residences owned and operated by ElderSpan Management are ElderSpan employees and adhere to our same quality standards. Our assisted living services are resident and health care focused, with the success of our communities based solely on the quality of our Care Coordination Team. Our Care Coordination Teams are comprised of qualified individuals covering the following areas:
(To view staff members at a particular residence, select the residence from the Locations tab on the menu above and click on Staff.)
Administration
We employ full time community administrators. While not an absolute requirement,
most all of our administrators are Registered Nurses. Having a health care
professional as the leader of our Care Coordination Teams enables our residents
to comfortably age in place. Major responsibilities of the administrator include:
coordination of all assisted living services, building oversight, staff development
and management, and overall resident/family satisfaction.
Care Coordination
Commitment to our care philosophies has led us to employ a part time Care
Coordinator at each building. Major responsibilities of this position include:
coordination of all health care services both within and outside each residence,
development of individual care plans for all residents, and weekly health
evaluations for all residents.
Dietary Service
Our commitment to quality of life in assisted living requires great attention
be paid to the quality and variety of meals served. We employ full time dietary
staff who are responsible for planning, managing and preparing daily meals.
Food tastes and preferences are especially important to aging seniors, which
is why quality control in dining services is a frequent topic for our Care
Coordination Team.
Housekeeping Service
We employ full time housekeeping staff who maintain our commitment to cleanliness
throughout our residences. Our residents and their visitors often comment
on the quality and cleanliness of our homes.
Life Enrichment
Our quality of life commitment is enhanced by the full time activity staff
we employ. Their responsibilities include planning monthly programs which
encourage independence and enrich resident lives, providing leadership for
various group programs, and one-to-one interaction.
Resident Care Assistance
The role of "primary caregiver" is filled by our Resident Assistants. As the
focal point within our teams, Resident Assistants provide assistance with
activities of daily living (such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating),
provide a vital communication link between residents and families, and are
truly the quality control eyes and ears of our communities.
